We use recycled ocean oyster shells in place of calcium carbonate powder which comprises approximately 10% of our neoprene

Eco Carbon Black

Carbon Black is one of the key ingredients in neoprene. It can now be carbonized from scrap rubber tyres using high heat to extract.

Limestone Neoprene

We have used limestone since 1996 to replace petrochemicals in our neoprene. It comes from nature and has less environmental impact.

Solvent-free Lamination

Solvent-free Lamination

We worked together with our key manufacturing partner to develope a non-solvent based lamination glue called "Aqua-Alpha" which bonds the suit's lining to the internal foam layer.

Dope Dyed Yarn

Dope Dyed Yarn

To save trememdous amounts of water whilst also reducing energy consumption and water polution, we use a dope dyeing process that infuses colour pigment into the fibre filaments before being spun into yarn.

O’Neill Hyperfreak fire 3mm booties
I’ve just tested these booties on a recent surf trip to NZ. The water temp is cool there now and these booties performed well at keeping the feet protected, comfortable and warm. Very satisfied, great product.

Ankle entry way too small.
I love the material of the hyperfreak, and that's why I bought this ones to complement my wetsuit. But they're nearly impossible to put on, the ankle entry is way too tight 😔 (and I have super small feet, so don't really understand how everyone else is putting them on). Except for that, the material is absolutely wonderful.

Hyperfreak Fire 3mm Split Toe Wetsuit Boot - Black
sizing on this one around the foot is slightly tighter than previous o'neill boots of the same size.
velcro ankle strap doesnt really prevent water entering the boot.
warm , flexible, and comfy.
