A PLANT-BASED RUBBER FROM A RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN

Yulex foam requires less energy to produce than traditional neopreneand uses renewable plant-based ingredients.
In combinationwith recycled internal and external jerseys, the carbon footprintof each & every wetsuit featuring Yulex is greatly reduced.

80% REDUCTION OF CO₂ EMISSIONS

Yulex natural rubber-based foams emit 80% less CO₂ emissions compared to petroleum-based neoprene, geoprene and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR).

100% EQUITABLE AG PROFITSHARING PROGRAM

The Yulex rubber used at O’Neill is sourced from smaller farmers in Vietnam. Profit shares go back to these farmers and their communities via a certified supply chain. This location also results in reduced shipping impact as the rubber is grown closer to the foam and wetsuit manufacturing sites.

100% CERTIFIED DEFORESTATION FREE

Responsibly-managed rubber plantations mitigate climate change by capturing and storing carbon (CO₂) to remove significant amounts of CO₂ from the atmosphere. Yulex natural rubber is FSC and PEFC certified.

100% PLANT-BASED, RENEWABLE, BIODEGRADABLE

Yulex's neoprene alternative does everything that a neoprene wetsuit can do, whilst protecting the planet. Yulex is 100% plant-based, biodegradable and renewable, without there being any compromises in performance.

100% FREE OF PERTROLEUM, LIMESTONE & ACETYLENE

Petroleum (used to create neoprene) and limestone (used to create geoprene) are both non-renewable resources. Acetylene is made from limestone production used to make geoprene, which while better than neoprene, is not as environmentally friendly as Yulex renewable natural rubber.
