I was shocked on how good it was! I live at Angourie and mainly surf a 2/2 mm long sleeve steamer and 3/2 for mid winter with all front zips. I wanted the 4/3 for J Bay in 2025. I have recently developed a dodgy left shoulder and opted for the back zip . About 2 weeks ago I received the west suit and we had probably our coldest day for winter. Only 19 but with a cold offshore from icy/snowy Glen Innes. The flexibility in the sleeves and shoulder were next level by 3 levels!! It was the easiest wetsuit I have ever put on and the pullover neck seal was a dream to pull over. In the water there were zero leaks and warm. Most of my wetsuits are Nuetral - neither cold or warm. Then 1/2 way through the surf I felt this weird feeling around my kidney regions - they felt WARM -this was a first time . Then I remember it had the 4 mm thick rubber panels - which I had never seen around the kidney regions before - GENIUS! The flexibility during the surf was unparalleled - never felt anything like it !
After the surf removing the wetsuit was a breeze - because of the back zip and flexible panels-normally I find it a nightmare .
As my other wetsuits have limestone impregnated neoprene - I am used to quick drying times of 4x 15 ( 4 sides to dry in the sun) minute - total drying of 1 hour. This wetsuit took4x30 minute with total drying time of 2 hours. Most other wetsuits can take days to dry . This wetsuit has such a variety of new technology panels.
I honestly cannot see how you could…
