For a wetsuit, we find that your weight is usually the most important measurement to follow. Height is less critical as a wetsuit will still function well if the legs are a little too long or short. We also suggest going for the smaller size if you are tossing up between two sizes.. most women's returns come back because the wetsuit fitted 'Too large'.

Bought primarily for seasonal ocean swimming

I bought this primarily for seasonal ocean swimming in spring and autumn in SE Western Australia. I liked the longer tail on the back of the jacket to keep the kidneys warm. It does this well. All jacket wetsuits ride up a little but the longer tail on the defender stays low enough to do what I bought it for, unlike shorter drawstring models. The jacket is sufficiently flexible for swimming. I look forward to use this in the surf also.
