Bought a Hyperfreak this winter after years of wearing Flashbombs exclusively. It's amazing. It's plenty warm enough even on the coldest days in Victoria. Way more flexible and seems better quality than any Rip Curl wetty I've had that cost heaps more. I'm converted.

On the hunt for a new wetsuit I discovered I actually have body proportions closer to a man (shame) So, tried on a small and thought I’d rather try the XS so I ordered it online. Only bummer is I wish they made the XS in this years fire range which I would have preferred but the women’s sizes were too tight on the shoulders and too loose on the legs. Best wetsuit on the market I’d say but does get a little chilly around the shoulders I suppose that’s the material.

One tip with this suit is to jump up to a 4/3+ thickness if you are the type to feel the cold (like myself).. the Hyperfreaks are so flexible that even the 4/3+ easily feels more comfortable and stretchy than most 3/2's on the market. As you are also aware, this year there is a new version, the Hyperfreak Fire, which has additional warmth, though sadly for you it doesn't come in an XS yet. This regular Hyperfreak 3/2+ you have is our most popular suit and you will get lots of mileage out of it through Autumn/Winter/Spring!

Got in trouble for purchasing this wetsuit my husband says it’s so good and comfy and warm, He went out for four hours and didn’t get any of his jobs done. He says it’s the best that wet suit he’s ever owned thanks a lot

I’ve had shoulder and neck issues, I herniated my C7 disc 12 months ago and was contemplating a back zip steamer, until a mate recommended a hyper freak. And it’s the best decision I made, after years of struggling with chest zip wetsuits this is by far the easiest one to put on and off. The neck cuff sits lower than many other brands putting less pressure on your neck while padding, which I find a great feature. With the sizing I’m 5’7”, 85kg stocky build and the large short is a perfect fit. It says the LS is up to 82kg, so I’d advise if your weight is just over the recommended weight range go that size not a size up. My first O’Neill suit and definitely not my last! Thanks O’Neill for a awesome suit!!
